Road To 15Years

The Wonderful@15 Campaign began with energy, purpose, and pride, marking the start of a year-long journey to celebrate 15 years of building Zambia’s industrial future.

Phase One, which ran from July to September 2025, focused on turning celebration into action, showcasing how Wonderful Group’s legacy goes beyond production to touch lives, empower communities, and create opportunities across the nation.

Through a series of initiatives led by our subsidiaries, we celebrated what truly defines Wonderful Group: people, progress, and purpose.

Here are some of the key moments that defined Phase One of the Wonderful@15 Campaign:

Future Leaders Programme — Investing in Tomorrow

We kicked off Phase One with the Wonderful Future Leaders Programme, a mentorship and exposure initiative designed to inspire and prepare Zambia’s next generation of industrial leaders.

As part of this initiative, Wonderful Industry Company Limited hosted over 50 students from St. Paul’s Secondary School for an educational visit to the factory. The students explored modern manufacturing processes, safety standards, and the role of innovation in Zambia’s growing industrial landscape.

At the same time, Marcopolo Tiles Company Limited welcomed learners from Fountain Gate Crafts School, offering them a guided tour of the tile plant, from production to quality control. Students engaged directly with engineers and production teams, learning about design, precision, and technology in local manufacturing.

Meanwhile, United Capital Fertilizer Zambia (UCF) hosted the Minister of Education for a tour of the Urea and Ammonia Plant in Chilanga. Following this visit, UCF began the process of developing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education aimed at creating structured industrial training programmes for engineering and science students.

The initiative will allow university and college students to gain hands-on experience in fertilizer production, plant maintenance, and process operations, bridging the gap between education and industry.

Together, these efforts reflected Wonderful Group’s enduring commitment to empowering Zambia’s youth, because the future of industry lies in the hands of those we inspire today.

Marcopolo Tiles — Charity Give-Back Through ZAM

In collaboration with the Zambia Association of Manufacturers (ZAM), Marcopolo Tiles Company Limited joined the manufacturing community in a charity outreach initiative that brought smiles and hope to the Home of Happiness Orphanage for Children with Disabilities in Lusaka.

The team donated food supplies, toiletries, and essential household items to the children and caregivers, spending the day sharing stories and encouragement.

This gesture perfectly captured the spirit of Wonderful@15, reminding us that true success is measured not only by what we build, but by how much we give.

Wonderful Industry — International Charity Day at Chipata Hospital

As part of the Wonderful@15 Campaign, Wonderful Industry Company Limited marked International Charity Day by partnering with Chipata Level One Hospital for a day of service and generosity.

The team carried out a hospital cleanup exercise and made donations to the Children’s Admission Ward, including blankets, bed sheets, hampers, toys, colouring books, and cleaning materials to help maintain hygiene standards.

This initiative reflected Wonderful Industry’s heart for community and the campaign’s purpose, spreading impact, sharing love, and ensuring every community feels part of the Wonderful journey.

Insaka Cultural Music Festival — Spreading Impact Through Arts and Culture

To close Phase One, Wonderful Group extended its celebration of impact into the arts and culture space as an Anchor Sponsor of the Insaka Cultural Music Festival.

Held at the Lusaka Showgrounds, the festival brought together artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural organizations in a celebration of unity, diversity, and creativity.

Through our support, Wonderful Group reaffirmed that nation-building is not only about factories — it thrives through art, culture, and the spirit of the people.

Looking Ahead — Phase Two Begins

As we transition into the next phase of the Wonderful@15 Campaign, our focus deepens — toward sustainability, inclusion, and legacy.

Phase Two will be anchored around agriculture and food security, highlighting our ongoing commitment to farmers and the nation’s broader agricultural transformation agenda.

This next phase will feature more farm-centered activities, community outreach programs, and initiatives that support productivity across the agricultural value chain.

Through our subsidiaries, particularly United Capital Fertilizer, we will continue to empower farmers with access to quality fertilizer, agronomic knowledge, and reliable supply — doing our part to support His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema’s call to action for Zambia to produce 10 million metric tons of maize annually by 2030/2031.

Leading the Industry and Creating the Future.
