The Ncwala ceremony begins with a procession led by the Ngoni King and his council of elders, who carry the sacred Ngoma drums. The procession is followed by young men and women, who dance and sing traditional songs to the rhythm of the drums. The highlight of the ceremony is the cutting of the first fruits by the Ngoni King, which is followed by a feast where everyone shares the food.
