United Capital Fertilizer Ltd., a proud member of the Wonderful Group, has achieved a historic milestone with the commissioning of the Initial Raw Material Feedstock Loading for ammonia and urea test production at its state-of-the-art Urea Plant.

The commissioning ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet, Mr. Siazongo Siakalenge, and marks significant progress — taking the project beyond 90% completion and bringing the plant closer than ever to full operations.

Once operational, the Urea Plant will provide a consistent and reliable supply of high-quality fertilizer, locally manufactured to meet Zambia’s growing agricultural needs. This development represents a major step toward national self-sufficiency in fertilizer production, supporting farmers, strengthening food security, and driving economic growth.
