Wonderful Group of Companies was proud to participate in the 2026 National Land Conference held in Livingstone, where policymakers, traditional leaders, industry representatives and development stakeholders gathered to discuss the future of land governance in Zambia.
Representing Marcopolo Tiles Company Limited, Board Member Director Chibanda emphasized the critical role of structured land governance in supporting sustainable industrial growth. He noted that accessible, well-managed and strategically positioned land is essential for attracting long-term investment and enabling the growth of key industries. He further highlighted that land serves as the foundation for industry, infrastructure and national development.
Throughout the conference, delegates engaged in meaningful discussions on land policy, governance and reform. Led by the Honourable Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Silvia Masebo, alongside respected traditional leaders, the sessions focused on strengthening land administration, improving accessibility and ensuring that land contributes to inclusive and sustainable development. The dialogue reflected a shared commitment to shaping policies that will support Zambia’s long-term growth and prosperity.
One of the conference’s most impactful moments came from Chief Chamuka of Chisamba, who passionately advocated for greater protection of women and children in matters of land ownership. His call for fairness, security and dignity in land rights highlighted the importance of inclusive land policies that empower families and safeguard future generations.
As a proud supporter of the National Land Conference, Wonderful Group remains committed to initiatives that bring together government, traditional leadership and the private sector to advance sustainable development. The conference provided a valuable platform for collaboration and forward-looking discussions that will help unlock the full potential of Zambia’s land resources for generations to come.
